Roger Robinson is an experienced performer, workshop leader and lecturer on poetry. He was chosen by Decibel as one of fifty writers who have influenced Black-British writing over the past fifty years, and was shortlisted for The OCM Bocas Poetry Prize and highly commended by the Forward Poetry Prize 2013. Roger has toured extensively with the British Council and is a co-founder of both Spoke Lab and the writing collective Malika’s Kitchen. He has also been commissioned by The National Trust, The V&A and Theatre Royal Stratford East where he was an associate artist. As a recording artist, he has released albums with Disrupt (Jahtari) and King Midas Sound (Ninja Tune).
