Richard Wilson is the co-founder of Stop Funding Hate, which mobilises consumer pressure to challenge racism and xenophobia within the media. His first book, Titanic Express (Continuum), recounts his search for the truth about the death of his sister Charlotte, who was killed in Burundi in 2000. His next book, Don’t Get Fooled Again (Icon) covers a range of themes that have recently come to the fore – including pseudo-news, media selection bias, and the growing influence of conspiracy theories. Richard has also written for the New Statesman, New Humanist, Private Eye, Prospect, the Guardian and Buzzfeed. He works in the charity sector, and regularly gives talks about his campaigning work.
